Riverbank House is a unique 3-storey house directly fronting the River
Stour in Christchurch. The south facing garden enjoys sunshine from dawn
till dusk. It is the ideal holiday spot for families sharing a break.
The town centre is approximately 10 minutes walk along the river. A
local ferry is available for trips to Mudeford and the sandy beach of
Hengistbury Head. Small boats can be hired along the river for a family
outing.
The beautiful award winning town of Christchurch is a mixture of old and
new with a magnificent priory dating back to 1094. There is an abundance
of both unusual and well-known shops with many excellent eating places.
Bournemouth is just 6 miles away with its miles of sandy beaches and
first class entertainment. Take a trip on an open top bus, which stops
just up the road and sample incredible views from the famous tethered
helium balloon.
Should you wish for quieter pursuits, the New Forest is within a few
miles of Christchurch with numerous country walks and cycle rides.
Christchurch enjoys an excellent bus service and the bus stop is within
200m of the house. Christchurch train station is 5 minutes by car and
Bournemouth International Airport is within 5 miles.

The accommodation
consists of:
A reception area with sofa, which can easily be converted into a comfortable 4ft bed.
This room can be fully enclosed
by curtains for privacy and is an ideal spot for quiet reading in front of the fire.
The newly fitted kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave,
washing machine and all other necessary items.
There are tea towels, washing up liquid, salt and pepper etc.
The 33ft lounge/dining area has glazed doors leading to the patio and contains a large futon that
can comfortably sleep 2 people.
A separate table is available for card and board games, which are provided, as is a television, DVD, video and music centre. There is an open fireplace for winter evenings with supplies of wood and coal available.
The 45ft garden is fully paved and contains a large pond. It fronts directly on to the River Stour and has a
private mooring which may be made available to guests by arrangement, if not occupied.
A luxurious 5 person spa is housed on the terrace and can be used all year round, whatever the weather.
The first floor contains a family room with a king-sized bed in the Master Bedroom area and within the enclosed sunroom,
a single adult bed with smaller guest convertible bed sliding out from underneath, suitable for a child under 5ft tall.
The spacious bedroom contains many fitted mirrored wardrobes, a dressing table, a ceiling fan and a suite of cane furniture.
The balcony overlooks the garden and the river. The large en-suite bathroom contains a bath, separate overhead and side jet shower unit, large heated towel rail and a built in double sink unit.
The second floor has two newly decorated bedrooms both with glass patio doors leading to a further balcony overlooking the river.
One bedroom is equipped with two single beds and the other with a lower double bed and a single upper bunk.
There is plenty of drawer and cupboard space.
The upstairs shower room serves these two bedrooms.
The number of beds within the property is designed to give maximum flexibility for sleeping arrangements depending upon the requirements of our clients.
Sheets are provided for stays of a week or more. All mattresses and pillows are covered with quilted protectors. Duvets are used on all beds and extra blankets are available.
Towels can be hired at a cost of £5.00 per set by prior arrangement.
